Racine woman charged after bringing her children to fight and allegedly injuring other children

jailbarsA 39 year old Mount Pleasant (corrected) woman has been charged with two felony counts of Child Abuse-High Probability/Great Harm, one count of  Contribute/Delinquency Child and three counts of felony bail jumping. She was given a $1,500 cash bond after making her initial appearance in Racine Circuit Court on Friday July 15.

(please note we are not naming the defendant to protect the identities of the juveniles involved)

According to the criminal complaint on July 13,2016 Racine Police were dispatched to a location for a reports that an adult had struck a child in the face. Upon arrival they spoke to the mother of an 11 year old child who stated that the defendant had struck her in the face. Officers observed swelling to the child’s face. Investigators also interview a 12 year old child who stated that the defendant had stomped on her neck causing her pain.

The criminal complaint states they interviewed the defendant who stated that her 15 year old daughter was having a disagreement with another juvenile and that she admitted bringing her two children to the residence at 3:00 a.m. to fight the juveniles they were having problems with.

The defendant stated that a fight ensued but denies hitting the one juvenile and stomping on the neck of the other child.  Witnesses had consistent statements stating that they defendant did participate and fight with the children.

The defendant was charged with felony bail jumping due to the fact she has a pending burglary charge in Dane County Wisconsin and had been released in June 2016
