RCSOOn 4/09/16 at 0237 hr, a Racine County Sheriffs Deputy was monitoring traffic at 22840 Durand Ave. (The former Players Park which is currently closed), in the Town of Dover, Racine County WI, facing south monitoring traffic on STH 11/Durand Ave. He was watching traffic coming from the east when his K9 NOX started barking. He turned and saw a white male walking at an extremely fast pace going around the passenger side and front of the squad. Before he could open his door the subject was within inches of the drivers side door. The subjects lips were separated and he was baring and clinching his teeth.

The Deputy exited his squad and tried to talk with the subject who appeared intoxicated. The subject was hostile and refused to keep his hands out of his pockets. This incident was evolving so fast that Deputy Clemens was unable to close his squad door. Deputy Clemens escorted the subject to the front of the squad and was getting ready to pat the subject down for weapons when the subject suddenly turned and pushed him in the chest. This caused Clemens to slip on the ice. He was able to grab a hold of the subject. At this time K9 NOX exited the still open drivers door of the squad and assisted his partner by biting the subject in the left wrist area. The subject was taken into custody a short time later.

The subject was later transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was then taken to RCJ where he was held on the following charges:940.20 (2) Battery to Officer946.41 (1) Resisting/Obstructing
