Sweatshop Movement first formed in Madison in 2008 by long time Director, Erika Bozinovski, a UW-Madison graduate who also served as an Associate Lecturer teaching hip hop classes for the UW-Madison Dance Department for 3 years. Bozinovski was awarded as a Madison Hiphop Legend in 2007, and voted the first-ever Hip Hop Dancer of the Year in Madison in 2010. She has organized & choreographed for numerous programs across Wisconsin, including a multiple Midwest Championships & a State Title in Hip Hop, and multiple performances at Badger Basketball games, the famous BratFest, Madison Area Music Awards, and more. Bozinovski & her program have been offering hip hop dance, breakdancing, and Pom Pon classes to ALL ages since then, using their non-profit status to provide classes to underserved youth, with extreme discounts based on the district lunch program, and a scholarship program available to all. Bozinovski has returned to Racine and is continuing the tradition here by opening a studio on College Avenue inside the Living Light Community Center, teaching hip hop, dance and launching Racines only All-star competitive dance team & hip hop crew program.
