The public is invited to attend a sex offender notification meeting on Monday, January 25th, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Richard V. Polzin COP House (1900 16th Street). This meeting is in regards to QUORDALIS V. SANDERS who will be residing at 1400 Washington Ave., and ANDREW JOHNSON, who will be residing at 4606 Durand Ave. in the City of Racine. Representatives of the Racine Police Department and Wisconsin Department of Corrections will be present to provide more information. This meeting is informational only and is not a forum for public comment. Adult subject matter will be discussed at this meeting and we ask that only adults attend.
The Racine Police Department is releasing the following information pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offenders release when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, awareness and protection. SANDERS and JOHNSON have been convicted of sex offenses and their criminal history places them in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend.
These offenders have served the incarceration sentences imposed on them by the courts. They are NOT wanted by the police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will NOT be tolerated.
ANDREW JOHNSON will be released to the community on or before January 19th, 2016. He was convicted in 2006 for 1st DEGREE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD (UNDER THE AGE OF 10). He is required to wear a Global Positioning System bracelet and he is a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program.
QUORDALIS SANDERS will be released to the community on or before January 26th, 2016. He was convicted in 2014 for EXPOSING GENITALS TO A CHILD (REPEAT OFFENDER), ALLOWING CHILD TO VIEW SEXUAL ACTIVITY (REPEAT OFFENDER), STALKING-VICTIM UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE. He is required to wear a Global Positioning System bracelet and he is a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program.
