Sheboygan man charged with OWI causing injury after December 2015 crash

Drunk-Driving Corey P Crabb, 51 of Sheboygan has been charged with OWI Cause Injury (2+), Reckless Driving-Cause Bodily Harm, and PAC Cause Injury (2+). He was given a $5,000 signature bond and a status conference has been scheduled for May 6,2016

According to the criminal complaint, on December 20,2015 Deputies with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department responding for an injury accident involving two vehicles at Highway 20 (Washington Ave) and CTH D. Deputies would later learn that the offending vehicle was being driven by the defendant and had crossed the center line on a curve and had hit the victim vehicle. The defendant was taken via flight for life to Froedert Hospital for serious injuries requiring surgery.

First responders at the accident scene informed Deputies that the defendant had stated that “he had been drinking and he shouldn’t have been and the accident was his fault”. Witnesses confirmed that the defendant had been driving at a high rate of speed, cross the center line and struck the victim.

According to the criminal complaint Deputies advise that the defendant had three prior OWI convictions, and that he cannot have an alcohol concentration greater than .02. The Wisconsin State Laboratory reports that the defendants blood tests were .15.
