Counties in Southeastern Wisconsin including Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha are expected to get under inch of snow but other parts of Wisconsin are under advisories, winter storm warnings and some parts of Wisconsin are now under blizzard warnings.
The National Weather service states Southern Wisconsin should see a wintry mix at times, with more rain toward the Illinois border. Thus, the forecast amounts will vary greatly from north to south across the area. 5 to 9 inches are forecast across the Montello, Fond du Lac and areas north of Sheboygan, where the Winter Storm Warning is in effect. 1 to 2 inches are forecast for the Madison metro area, with under an inch in the Milwaukee metro area. Blizzard conditions are expected in the Fox Valley and Green Bay areas.
These accumulations, and the area affected, may fluctuate a bit, as we get closer to the start of the snowstorm. In the range that shows 8 to 12 inches, the expected maximum amount is closer to 9 to 10 inches.
