Statewide alert-Attempted child abduction in Menasha, vehicle had Illinois plates

Menasha policeA 12 year old boy at Hart Park in Menasha had fallen near the sidewalk/terrace area and was grabbed by a male. The male party attempted to drag the boy into his vehicle. The juvenile was able to hit, kick, and claw at the suspect and was released.
The suspect is described as a light skinned male (possibly Hispanic). He had numerous tattoos on his arms and neck to include: three tattoos of lips on his neck, and both arms covered with sleeves (full arm tattoos) containing a Pepsi logo. The subject may have scratches on his arms. Suspect was wearing a curved brimmed basebal that may have been a Menasha Blue Jays hat, Toronto Boys or a lesser known team. The hat was light blue with a dark blue logo.

A passenger in the vehicle is described as being a white male with blond spiked hair and a nose ring.

The vehicle is described as a silver SUV, similar to a Dodge Durango, with Illinois plates. A partial plate of “X9″ was obtained. There were scratch marks on the rear quarter panel of the passenger side.

Alert is being sent statewide due to the fact that the vehicle had IL plates and may be traveling through the state.
