Suspect in armed robbery of SF Petroleum still at large


ARMED+ROBBERYOn Sunday, March 20th at approximately 9:00am officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to a robbery which just occurred at 2325 Racine St. SF Petroleum, in the Village of Mount Pleasant.
The caller advised the suspect fled on foot Eastbound from the store. Officers arrived at SF Petroleum a few minutes after receiving the call. Mount Pleasant Officers along with Mount Pleasant K9 checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect entered SF Petroleum and displayed a handgun. The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money. The suspect was described as male black in his 20s wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. No one was injured during the incident.

Mount Pleasant investigators are following up on leads in this case. There have been no arrests at this time. However, this investigation is active.
