Garrett Cagle, 22 of Racine has been charged with Possession of THC (2nd+ Offense), Possess/Illegally Obtained Prescription, Possess Drug Paraphernalia. He made his initial appearance Friday afternoon in Racine Circuit Court and was given a $500.00 cash bond
According to the criminal complaint, on April 14, 2016 Officers with the Racine Police Department were on patrol when they received a report of suspicious person on foot near Owen Davis Park, carrying a sword. Witnesses flagged down the officers and stated that the defendant had cut through back yards in the 1600 block of Grove Ave and had attempted to enter a locked residence, then ran northbound on Grove Ave.
Officers located the defendant who was carrying a Samurai sword in a case and had the defendant place it on the ground. Officers report that the defendant was acting nervous, continuously looking at the sword, avoided eye contact and placed his hands in his front pockets numerous times, the complaint reads.
When patting the defendant down, they located five baggies of marijuana and ten loose Clonazapam pills in his pockets also located was a glass pipe. The weight of the THC was 7.2 grams that were recovered.
