There is so much horror and negative things these days in the media, that all of us could use something positive. This is Police Week. Many will gather to honor the fallen who served to protect us. We had a friend explain what her daughter did the other day and felt it’s one of those things that may be small but carries a very powerful and positive message to all law enforcement and to the community.
Jamie told us that “Her daughter?Taytym is only 8 years old and is in 2nd grade at Gifford School. Gifford is teaching that kindness matters. While they were having lunch at Chick-Fil-A the other day. She noticed a police officer come in to eat and wrote on a napkin “Thank you for protecting our city” and gave it to the officer.
Taytym also was top pledge raiser for her school at Gifford. They did a relay recess Friday for American Cancer society. Gifford raised over 4500.00 dollars. Tatym along brought in approximately?5000 pennies.
From all of us to those that are sworn to protect and serve. We thank you
