Two dealership burglaries occurred between 1:44A and 3:10A 7-7-16, at Palmen Chrysler, ( 8320 Washington av.) and Racine Toyota, (13350 Kilbourn dr.). At Palmen Chrysler suspect(s) smashed the glass to a showroom walk in door to gain entry then attempted to steal a Jeep Cherokee off the showroom floor by driving it into the glass showroom wall repeatedly unsuccessfully. The Jeep was abandoned running jammed against the wall half way out of the building. Suspect(s) unsuccessfully attempted to steal another vehicle on the showroom floor.
At Racine Toyota on Kilbourn dr; suspects gained entry by smashing the glass at a walk in door near the service department and then drove a car from inside the service department through the overhead garage door and abandon that car on the dealership lot. At the time of this press release it is unknown if a vehicle(s) were stolen from either dealership. Officers remain on scene at both dealerships and the investigation is ongoing.
Officers responded to an alarm at 1:44AM for Palmen Chrysler and later found the burglary to Racine Toyota when checking the other dealerships.
Suspect(s) may still be in the stolen Ford Escapes (one white one Grey) from the Porcaro Ford July 4thburglary.
