Three teens seriously injured in Yorkville accident

RCSOOn Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at approximately 6 p.m. the Racine County Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of CTH U and 2 Mile Road in the Town of Yorkville, Racine County.Racine County Sheriff’s Deputies responded as did fire and rescue crews from Union Grove / Yorkville, Raymond, and Wind Lake. The accident involved a 2003 Honda Pilot SUV which was occupied by a 58 year old male driver and a 2003 Dodge Neon 4dr which was occupied by 3 teenaged females.

The driver of the Honda suffered nonlife threatening injuries and the occupants of the Dodge suffered life threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge had to be extricated and was transported from the scene via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.The initial investigation shows that the Honda was traveling westbound on 2 Mile Road. The Honda failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and collided with the Dodge, which was traveling southbound on CTH U and had the right of way.At this time the names of the involved are not being released pending further investigation and the notification of family members.
