Two people injured after car crashes into downtown building

On Saturday February 6, 2016 at 2:38 a.m. the Racine Fire Department along with the Racine Police Department responded for a car fire at 5th and Main. Upon arrival fire crews identified a single vehicle on fire against a building. Fire crews quickly contained this fire to the exterior of the building. Two occupants of the vehicle were transported by Med 1 and Med 3 to the hospital. Minor damage to the first floor of the building was reported with no fire extension to report. Officials state that there is an estimated $40,000 in fire loss. The incident is currently under investigation
