Unemployment falls slightly-City of Racine still ranks highest in the state

Unemployment-USAMADISON – The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Wednesday September 21st,  released the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) estimates of unemployment and employment statistics for metro areas, major cities, and counties in Wisconsin. The estimates include updates for July 2016 and the preliminary estimates for August 2016. The City of Racine still ranks highest in the State of Wisconsin for unemployment

City of Racine: August 2016-6.7%;  July 2016 -7.1%; August 2015- 7.0%
Caledonia:  August 2016-4.6%; July 2016 – 4.6%; August 2015- 4.8%
Mount Pleasant: August 2016-5.2%; July 2016- 5.2%: August 2015- 4.7%

Racine County: August 2016-3.4%; July 2016- 3.5%; August 2015-3.8%
