Union Grove Man Charged with 8th OWI-Tells Deputy “Might as well arrest me”

dale-hadlock Dale R Hadlock 53 of Union Grove has been charged with
OWI (7th, 8th or 9th) and two counts of felony bail jumping. He was given a $10,000 bond after appearing in Racine Circuit Courts on Monday December 5th. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 14,2016.

According to the criminal complaint on December 2, 2016. Deputies with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department initiate a traffic stop in Yorkville. When the Deputy approached the vehicle the defendant advised him that his drivers license was suspended, he was bail jumping and “might as well arrest him”.

Deputies observed the defendant had glassy eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of intoxicants coming from his person. The Deputy had him perform a a field sobriety test and upon those results had the defendant perform a PBT sample which showed a result of .125

The criminal complaint states that the defendant was charged with his 7th OWI on July 5,2016 in Manitowoc County and part of his condition of being released on bond was absolute sobriety and he could not operate a vehicle unless properly licensed
