Waterford Fire Victim Identified

RCSOUPDATE-The deceased 88 year old home owner has been identified as Lawrence C. Gough. The Racine County Fire Investigation Task Force and Racine County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate cause of the fire.

On 05/21/2015 at 6:07 am, the Racine County Communications Center received a call of a house fire in the 400 block of Fox Isle Park Drive in the Village of Waterford. It was reported that there were people inside the house that could not get out.

Deputies arrived and assisted with evacuating the residence. Due to the fire, entry could not be made into the house. The 88 year old homeowner did not make it out of the house. He was located on the second floor of the home by fire fighters and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The fire has been extinguished.

Two other occupants that made it out of the house were transported to St. Lukes Hospital in Milwaukee by rescue for unknown injuries.

Fire Department and Sheriff’s Deputies remain at the scene. The investigation is continuing by the Racine County Fire Investigation Task Force and the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.
