Daniel B. Miskelley has been charged with three counts of Possess Firearm on Grounds of a School and on count of disorderly conduct after Racine County Sheriff’s Deputies found him on the rooftop of Woodfield Elementary School in Waterford Monday (September 14) night. He appeared in Racine Circuit Court and was given a $2,500 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 1st.

According to the criminal complaint Sheriff’s Deputies responded to calls on September 14 at 10:56 for a complaint of a male party had been on the roof of Woodfield Elementary School. Upon arrival Deputies spoke with a witness who had gotten a phone call stating that someone was on the roof and they were afraid they were trying to break in. The witness reports that when they arrived they saw the defendant walking away from a bike rack that had been propped up against the school, and it appeared that it had been used as a ladder.

Deputies spoke with the defendant who allegedly admitted to them that he had thrown a ball on the roof, and climbed on the roof to retrieve it but was curious about the rooftop and wanted to check it out.

When Deputies asked if he had any weapons on him and asked him to consent to a search, he stated that he didn’t have any weapons on him but did have weapons with him. When Deputies asked for clarification the defendant told him that he had firearms in his car. The defendant gave Deputies consent to search the vehicle and three firearms were found in the trunk. His vehicle was parked on school grounds
