This morning around 7 a.m. Mount Pleasant Police and South Shore Fire Department responded to 911 calls for a vehicle on fire in the area of 16th and Oakes Road. The fire was quickly extinguished. There were no injuries reported. We spoke to Becky Anderson-Greenberg this morning after the incident. She explained “They were driving by me and didn’t know car had fire underneath, the window was open and I yelled at him fire pullover. Thank God they did because shortly after it was engulfed. There was another lady there helping as well” She said that she called school and gave all their names so they knew that everybody was good. Super thankful they got out when they did and that everyone is safe.”
