Woman arrested after Thursday morning bomb threat


mppd1 On Thursday 12/17/2015 at 10:07 am officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to SEDA NORTH AMERICA, INC. located at 12501 Globe Dr. in the Village of Mount Pleasant due to a bomb threat that was made. Officers searched the building however nothing suspicious was discovered.

Investigators from the Mount Pleasant Police Department immediately followed up on leads and developed a suspect. On 12/17/2015 at 5:05 pm THANIA RODRIGUEZ, 35 from Racine was arrested in the city of Racine at her residence.

RODRIGUEZ was transported to the Racine county Jail where she is being held on a $5,000 bond for Bomb Scare which is a felony. This case was referred to the Racine County District Attorneys office.
