Woman charged after assaulting and robbing 83 year old man

Tiffany Loretta Jennifer Boone, 31 of Racine has been charged with Robbery with Use of Force, Aggravated Battery-Elderly, two counts of Bail Jumping-Misdemeanor, and Burglary-Dwelling, Boat or Motor Home. She is being held on $1,000 cash bond after making her initial appearance in Racine Circuit Court today. Her Preliminary hearing on June 10, 2015.

According to the criminal complaint, On May 30, 2015, Racine Police were called to the 1300 block of Grand in Racine, regarding abuse of an elderly man as well as a robbery. Officers spoke with the victim who is 83 years old.

According to the victim he stated that on May 30, 2015, the defendant that he did not know and had never seen before knocked at his door and asked for money to buy baby formula and that he gave her twenty dollars ($20.00) cash. The defendant returned 30-45 minutes later asking for more money and he refused to give her more money, then returned to his house a third time and was banging on the back door. The victim told police he allowed the suspect inside the kitchen to talk. She was just inside the rear door of the residence and she began to demand more money from him.

According to reports the female became loud and aggressive was her to leave or he would call the police and female refused to leave. The victim stated that as he took his cell phone out to call the police the female quickly shoved him. and picked him up by his legs, which caused him to fall, causing him to strike his head on the floor when he fell.

The suspect allegedly removed his wallet from is right rear pants pocket and then took eighty dollars ($80.00) in cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction The victim able to give a description of the female according to police and was able to ID the suspect from a photo lineup.

According to the complaint police interviewed the defendant where she stated to police that she did go to the victims home and that she got twenty dollars from him and used money to buy cigarettes and a bag of marijuana. But told police she had no idea how the victim got the injuries. During the course of her interview with investigators she also stated that she was a prostitute and during the course of an encounter with the victim she pushed him down and grabbed forty-five dollars out of his wallet and left the house.

As to counts burglary and bail jumping, police were called to the 1200 block of Schiller Street on May 23, 2015. Victim of that incident that a person later identified as the defendant came into their home without knocking wanting to speak with an adult. When an adult came to the door the suspect was gone and according to this report, six hundred dollars was gone from the victims wallet, which was located on the kitchen wall shelf about. The defendant was also picked out from a photo lineup.

According to this criminal complaint the defendant was interviewed regarding this transaction, where she allegedly admitted that she had gone to that house on several occasions and had borrowed money from that house. she initially denied ever being inside of the house, then changed her story to state that she had previously been in the kitchen; however, denied stealing six hundred dollars.
