Woman who escaped from Ellsworth Correctional caught in Yorkville

RCSOOn 06/03/2015 at 8:16 PM, the Racine County Communications Center received a phone call from the Robert E. Ellsworth Correctional Center which is located in the Town of Dover. Staff at the prison advised a female inmate had escaped and was fleeing from the prison in a vehicle which was being driven by second party.

Racine County Deputies located the suspect vehicle and the vehicle was stopped in the Town of Yorkville at which time the escaped inmate fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The second party who was driving the vehicle fled the scene of the initial stop, but was stopped again by other responding deputies and also taken into custody without incident.

Both suspects have been taken to the Racine County Jail where they are being held on multiple charges including felony, misdemeanor and traffic charges.
