On Monday, January 25 at 10:21 a.m., Pleasant Prairie Public Safety Dispatchers were notified that a tree care employee had fallen while completing a tree trimming job in the 4200 block of 86th Place. Co-workers at the scene indicated that the 46-year-old male employee was working from an elevated position in a tree when the mishap occurred, causing him to fall to the ground.
Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene and requested that Flight for Life be contacted to transport the patient for medical treatment. With the assistance of the Kenosha Police Department, a landing zone for Flight for Life was established at Tremper High School. The injured individual was then transported via Flight for Life to Froedert Medical Center.
Due to the fact that the injury resulted from a work-related accident, Pleasant Prairie Police contacted OSHA. OSHA representatives were at the scene, along with police personnel, to investigate the accident.
