Building that was destroyed by a fire ruled an arson finally coming down

On January 29, 2013 the Racine Fire Department and Racine Police department responded to a large active fire at 2500 Anthony Lane (formerly known as Jacato Drive). The cause of the fire was ruled arson. It has taken two and half years to have the building that had been gutted by fire to be torn down. The City of Racine appropriated funds to have the building demolished. No one to date has been arrested and charged in the arson fire that displaced multiple families and residents.
