THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN HAS ISSUED A WIND CHILL ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM CST THURSDAY.

* WIND CHILL VALUES…15 TO 25 BELOW ZERO.

* IMPACTS…THE COLD WIND CHILLS WILL CAUSE FROSTBITE IN AS LITTLE AS 30 MINUTES TO EXPOSED SKIN. LIMIT OUTDOOR EXPOSURE. PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR PETS FROM THE COLD.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS…MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES.

LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING ACCUMULATING SNOW TO ALL OF WISCONSIN ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. THIS WILL IMPACT TRAVEL ACROSS THE REGION. WINTER WEATHER HEADLINES WILL BE NEEDED.

VERY COLD TEMPERATURES AND WIND CHILLS WILL RETURN TO THE AREA ON SUNDAY AND LINGER INTO MONDAY.
